Pursuit of Happiness

Mint green polka dot sweater, vibrant red beanie, riding boots, Brighton bracelet and a fun pearl necklace. Score.

"I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know everything that shines ain't always gonna be good. I'll be fine, once I get it. I'll be good." ~ Kid Cudi, Pursuit of Happiness

I know I said I was going to start posting my short stories with my outfit posts, and trust me, I am going to, but for this post, I wanted to do something different and talk about things that have been going on in my life. Also, I felt like I had no inspiration today for a story and I didn't want to post a story that I wasn't truly passionate about.

Anyways, right now I am in my junior year and it has been the most stressful year ever. That is one of the reasons I don't post as frequently as I'd like. I have a million (excuse me for my exaggeration, but it gets the point across) things to do this year and it is getting harder and harder to fit all those things into a day. If only I could freeze time to get things done.

For those of you who have experienced junior year or are going through it now, you know where i'm coming from. AP classes, SAT preparation, extracurriculars, volunteering, and my part-time job-- there is just so much!

The point of this post is for a few reasons. The first reason is because I am doing all of those things I mentioned above in order to get into the college of my choice and turn my dream job into a reality. My dream job of writing for a fashion magazine is what would make me happy.

The second reason for this post is because in doing all of those things (loading up on the hard classes, overloading on extracurriculars, etc), I feel like I lost myself and part of my happiness somewhere in between. I've been stressed, anxious and worried about planning for college. One "B" on a test is enough to make me have a breakdown. Where is the happiness in that? I know in the long run it will pay off, but for right now, I need to find my happiness again. I need to find myself

Recently I have been taking the time to do things that make me happy like writing, reading, catching up on my favorite shows, etc. I am on the pursuit of my happiness.

Now that you've seen my outfit, look below at the photos that represent my pursuit of happiness.
